How is it free? How do you actually make money?
We take 2.6% of each member payment that goes through the system. Stripe takes its own processing fee of 1.7% + 30c. That is the whole of it — no subscription, no setup fee, no per-member charge.
It means we get paid only when your members pay you, which is deliberate: if your club is not growing, we do not earn. Full detail on the pricing page.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. There is no card on file, no trial countdown and nothing to cancel.
Is there a contract or a lock-in period?
No. You can stop using Martial Manager whenever you like.
Do I need an ABN?
No. Stripe can be set up as an Individual or Sole Trader using your personal details — full name, date of birth, home address and a personal bank account. If your club already operates as a business you will use its ABN, but not having one is not a barrier to getting started.
Do my members pay more because of you?
That is your call. The fees come out of the payment, so by default they are absorbed by the club rather than added to the member.
Can I bring my existing members across?
Yes. The process differs depending on the software you are coming from, so it is best to get in touch with us first and we will help you plan a smooth transition.
Who owns the club’s data, and can I take it with me?
You own it. If you decide to leave, let us know and we will package up your data for you to take with you.
Do you help me find new members?
Not directly. Martial Manager starts the day someone becomes a member — lead generation, ads and sales are somebody else’s job. Marketing fills the bucket; we plug the holes in the bottom of it.
That said, if attracting new members is genuinely your biggest priority right now, we can help connect you with the right solution. Contact us and we will start the discussion. Just remember that pouring more money and time into a leaky bucket only means more leaks.
What if I am not technical?
Then we set it up with you. Timetable, memberships, fees and Stripe — book a time and we will do it together.
Who are you two, and why should I trust you with my club?
We do not own clubs. Our experience comes from being the instructor on the mat, the admin in the office, the guy helping out his Sifu on the weekend to run some Facebook ads — and the guy who got sick of the bigger software companies in this space offering the ocean and delivering a drop.
